This one was rescued from the recycle bin from our recent fabled Scottish Meet.

Lesmac always encourages us to subscribe to the 'Rule of Turds'...'if it's crap, it's crap....bin it'

This is one that was worth a little perseverance.
A little dodging/burning/cropping brought it back to life.

I just wish I'd used a slower exposure to blur the foreground water detail a little more.

Not bad Steve, although I'm not too sure about the water colour, but that is just perhaps because I was there and remember the scene.

I love the water colour. And I also like the rippled effect of the water surface. It's different and stands out.

The speed of the fall is just right but the foreground water looks too still.

The water was very blue on my LCD, in fact either Les or Dimitri were peering over my shoulder and commented on it.
I should maybe have calmed the blues down but it was VERY blue off camera.

See above! Maybe a little too blue for some tastes. Thanks for commenting :)

Agreed Neil. I would have liked a slower exposure for that very reason.

The monitors I use are definitely off in terms of colour balance (I just have to look at my prints to confirm it), so you're probably right.... still looks good in this setup though!

Thanks Murray and Adam.

I've toned the blue water down a little as soon as I got home tonight.
It nearly blinded me when I took a look with a fresh pair of eyes!

Photographs are records of life. Pity they don't make music when you put them in a record player. :p
