How olds this model and how does it stack up the 70-200 F4L is what I'm curious about. (I have a 70-200 F4L arriving tommorow, well, was supose to be today, but probably tommorow I guess.)

the L lens is a better lens but the 70-210 is smaller, also has ring USM and very good IQ.

i was looking through some old pictures the other night and i was very surprised at all the keepers i got with the 70-210.

the newer 70-300 IS of course is a better lens too but it doesn't have ring USM and costs almost 3x as much.

if you only have a couple hundred bucks to spend this is an excellent deal!

For 200 bucks you'd have to be crazy not to consider that lens! Very good lens for the price. Maybe not as versatile as some but it doesn't need to be stopped down to be sharp.

There's one on FM B&S, in good condition for $130. A great deal.

I sold mine for more than that.

I got one used via FM for $130. Great lens for the price. I do minimal shooting over 50mm and this and the 200L have suited my needs for those times when I have.
