Great additions to your tools. I too am caught in the perfect storm and will succumb to a 5D and 17-40 soon.

thanks y'all for the comments. flip, I will probably do some comparison shots when I've got free time. the canon 70-200 is sharp, but so was my sigma. I think the biggest difference may be in build, USM, weathersealing, and IS.

pickle -- sorry about the kicks. wear a cup.

I took the new lens to hockey, got >>>these<<< shots. The lens certainly focusses quickly.
