I take it their product line is a standard package and you just give them a logo to use? Sounds like a good way of getting POTN stuff!

The free shop allows you one of each product, and there are lots of t-shirts and clothes and things. I'm on a free shop so only get one calender. You customise the shop by uploading a logo and so on.

If you pay extra for a "pro" shop you get multiple versions of each product, so you can have multiple calenders, each slightly different, although you'd need to be ensure that the monthly running costs is covered by your profit.

I've got a couple of t-shirts which I wear regularly and they seem to stand up to the abuse I give them. The logos are still visible, they haven't stretched or torn - I'm quite impressed with them.

I finished one of my calenders and then ordered 5 to give out here. I placed the order on the 27th November, and on the 29th they'd been printed and shipped by USPS air mail service. They haven't arrived here with me yet though.

Back here again after a crazy 3 weeks or so of work. It hasn't let up but I've decided no more working on the weekends for a while.... Hey it's coming up to Christmas!

I hope to have some more input where I can and will try to stay up to date (now I've got to read through all these threads )

Paul,

Are you still OK to be a T&L Panel Member? Are you up to speed on all the Panel Issues...

PM me if not.

Thanks for the msg, yes I've been keeping on top of it somewhat but haven't been posting much. Still OK but if anything changes I'll be the 1st to let you know.

Cafepress sound likes it's worth looking into. Someone else mentioned Calendars for next year - that could be very interesting. Easy if it's one POTN calendar, quite difficult - but much more interesting I'd think - if there was a calendar per share.

But ask me again in 4 or 5 months. :-)

If there will be people in the book, we will need model release forms from them if this is going to be published, correct?

at this stage it would be 12 months away. not that I am an expert on these things.

But I like to be positive about these things. Just think of all the photos you can take during that time :)

This thread is way too long to read, so my apologies if this -- probably dumb -- question already been answered: do photos offered for publication need to have been taken, strictly, with Canon cameras?

Afraid so! We debated this at length. The bottom line is that POTN is a Canon forum.
