Well, you've all taken some great shots, so here's my efforts. Not up to the standard of Les, Mike or Steve but here goes....;)

All taken using 5D

1.

f/22 1sec @ 105mm ISO 100 (70-200mm f/2.8 IS L)
Not sure what's happening at the bottom of this one

2.

f/7.1 0.4sec @ 28mm ISO 200 (24-105mm f/4 IS L)
Thin this is the same stream as Les' earlier one. All that great scenery, big water and we find the smallest, most insignificant stream, but like this one.

f/9 0.05sec @ 45mm ISO 400 (24-105mm F/4 IS L) - oops must remember to check my ISO setting:o

Ordered a 18x12 print of this one already.

Oh and just one for fun.....how many POTN members can fit on a cliff?

Just notice Dimitri in the bottom right corner. How did you get down there?

Love the first one, great comp, and well controlled whites.

That small fall was a real find, I wish I'd explored it more, but you have done it justice.

Perhaps I would make the black borders a little narrower, they are on the verge of dominating, especially on the smaller image sizes?

You're too modest, Ruairidh! #1 and #3 especially are top notch shots. :)

I think you may just have to crop the dodgy bit off the bottom of #1 - not sure what it is - the only thing it is vaguely like is the edge of a badly positioned ND grad filter.

I agree with Les about the thickness of the borders.

Nice ones Ruairidh, and I see that I'm the top of the photographer pile in the last shot. It is a bit of a shame we never actually got a group photo that day.

Photographs are records of life. Pity they don't make music when you put them in a record player. :p

Cheers Les, means a lot coming from a master like yourself ;)

Took that one with the 70-200 and I don't recall ever using the Grad with that lens (although that is what I thought it looked like as well).

Cheers for the positive feedback everyone. Means a lot coming from members of this forum.

Dave, there were some really iffy locations round those 'falls'. No one told me that to join a POTN meet you had to have grade A climbing skills:lol:

These are excellent quality shots Rory.
I don't remember spotting your 5d?!!!

Portrait orientation shots are always difficult to do justice in a web browser but I would try and make them a little larger in future and cut the black borders down a little.

#1 is particularly impressive considering the lighting we encountered.

Steve,

Having seen you using your angle view finder, think that's my next purchase !!

The versions posted up head are cut down in size. Larger versions are available by clickin on the images (sorry if I teaching my granny here...).

It seems to be a limit of flikr to reduce the file size to around 1024 pixels though.

These are the first pictures I've tried framing so just getting the feel for boarder/picture ratio (any recommendations with respect to percentage size values).

Thanks for all the constructive feedback. I might even come back again for the fourth meet (if you promise not to loose me this time....;) )
