These shots are wonderful! They are definitely up to the standards of the other gurus here, well done!

Just on this, it looks like faulty jpeg compression. It happens sometimes - you either get missing data, soft compression (like you did) or just black/white fields. As long as it's not on your RAW, you're fine.

They al look like excellent shots to me. The love the colours in your tree shot and number 1 is very nicely composed and shot.

Thanks for the suggestion, will check out the jpeg conversion later. There is a hint of a loss of colour in the RAW file (when I view it with Canon DPP). It seems to line up with where the rocks go smooth on the left, so not sure if has something to do with those affecting the exposure.
