Nice avatar, Petman. You never answered me when I asked you who the last avatar was, the one you said went so well with mine.

Back ot. I've owned this lens for four or five months now and I suck with it. I always wanted it, but am thinking of selling it. My results just suck compared to what I see.

Those are excellent images, 4x4. Well done!

I'm starting to look at that lens more and more. I'm holding off until the verdict is in on the 50mm f/1.2L though. Naturally, neither are cheap. :(

That's good advice Petkal - the Mark II doesn't seem to justify the price premium...

Thanks for the nice words.

At one time I owned all 3 non-L 50 from canon and they were all veryy good. I'm not sure if the 50/1.2 will have that wow factor in it or it is just the weather seal that makes it a good selling point. :)

Petkal, thanks for the advice, I'm definitely keeping an eye out for the MK1 version. One thing about the MK1 is the Electronic Power Manual Focus motor which requires the lens to mounted in order to manual focus. This caught me off guard a few times as I had to put it back on the camera to have the lens go back to recess mode for storage.

Man, saving money is tough, finding the right lens is tougher haha :D

Agree with the mark 1 statement from "Captian Geratol".

Nice shots.
