what a nice cat. always perfered cats over dogs. dogs just smell bad. as for name I can't think of any, that would suit you. However I am a sci fi fan, star trek first and for most. Spock, Scotty is where I would start, picard, data, spot etc etc I think you get the idea.

Congrats on the new kitty!

We have always been cat lovers. Our first was a Siamese we called Snoopy. The name really fit! Tho she hated being in a moving vehicle, that cat traveled all over the Country with us while I was in the Air Force. She really became part of our family, and we were heartbroken when she finally passed on after 22 years.

We have a Russian Blue now called Maxmillian (Max for short). I cannot believe he's been with us for almost 6 years. We got him at the Humane Society here in Boise. (That's another story in itself.)

I hope you and Ansel have a great life together. And YES! Cats are hard to photograph. When Max sees me coming with the camera he either leaves or waits until I am composing the shot then quickly comes toward me. He's figured out that if he's moving rapidly towards me indoors I can't get the photo taken.

BTW, how did the Aerial photos of the resort turn out?

they loved them.. thought they were great.. but, in my viewpoint they were a little flat and there was too much overcast... but, presentable atleast I can't control the sky.... I would like to post some of the resort photos. But, because they really don't belong to me i've been nervous about it.. if that makes any sense?... as for Ansel. he's wonderful.. i'm thrilled with him..

Congrats on Ansel! I'd like a cat or dog if I live alone. Cats are easier to take care of tho, but I'm otherwise a dog person. Problem with animals is when you want to travel.

Congrats on your new kitty! He very much reminds me of Homer (external link), my first cat, who is now a happy purring 10 year old!

I think Ansel is a great name, and as others have said: very fitting.

Well done to Ansel for finding his new pet human called Sari. He will have to be strict but loving towards you so you grow up polite and not claw at everything and everyone. he will have to make sure you get fed consistently because humans like the same routine. He will need to avoid feeding Sari from his bowl otherwise he will soon find it impossible to eat with you mussing around him. Cat's can achieve Buddhahood and we can learn much about life and its priorities from watching them.

well thank you Dave.. I have illusions of grandeur and like to think of Ansel and I as roomates.. ofcourse I think I wait on him more than anybody at my bar but, I suppose that means that i've got a good one?.... haha.. got an email from my bestfriend who already wants to kitty sit. Feels strongly that Ansel needs to be introduced to her pair of co-habitants before he becomes a big boy in preperation for Africa... and also that she doesn't get the name Ansel but not to worry she'll come up with an appropriate nickname while he's in residence with her and her brood....;););)

Very nice kitty. Congrats. I remember when my wife first got her kitty, and called him pumpkin.

I would have named him 'sleeperz' cause that's all he does all day, when he's not purring, or playing...

Good luck with him, and glad he found a nice home to go to.
