#1 is from an interesting angle and has the effect of what making the lighthouse (which could be perceived as the main object), become just a bit of foreground interest, and promoting the sea to being the main interest. Was this what you intended?

#2 strikes me as having a bit proportion of black sky, so I would suggest a slight crop (e.g. the top third of the sky) to give more dominance to the falls.

I agree on both points. I did intend to promote the ocean in this photo. On the second photo I just wanted an 8X10 crop but maybe it doesn't look good that way. Thanks for your input
