Took this of my niece at a local waterfall, C&C please, did I get it right :)

It is a very cute portrait. My one suggestion ... right before you squeeze the shutter release .... squint at the scene and see what your eyes are drawn to. It is primarily tones in the blue family. Her belt bag is very noticeable. Otherwise it has great potential when worked in Photoshop.

I don't know, but my focus is drawn to the waterfall... maybe blur the background a little bit in photoshop? Other than that, it's a nice shot. :)

I wouldn't sweat the details--as noted above--too much.
It is what it is.
...and what it is, is a very nice photograph. :)

I like the two subjects in the image for the comp. I'm drawn to the water fall then to the model. It shows a beautiful place and a person who is there too. The small carry bag emphasizes the person hiked to the falls.

Makes me want to go there too.

If a normal person saw the original image, they would find nothing wrong with the picture. I don't think your edits are really necessary.
