My 1DsMII had a couple of stubborn dust spots that would not go away with the rocket blower. I have always been against the sensor cleaning swabbing due to fear
But I broke down, bought some sensor swabs and gave it a try. I am pleasantly surprised at the results. I gave the sensor a twice over with two different swabs and the stubborn dust is gone. At F/22 and ISO 3200 there are a few areas of dust or something. But at F/2.8 there is not a thing. At F/22 and ISO 100 there isn't anything either
So, in conclusion, sensor cleaning is not so scary, I will do it again when needed
