  You and I have something in common MD Jakaka Dolt  : a very successful and effective way of certification avoidance for all these years.

But our families have their suspicions and opinions about that, right ?

Doc, it would appear from your duplicate 24-70's that you are a sociopath.....but as a lowly recruit I am probably not allowed to point that out :D :D

So that is probably a good thing, no?

Klep, I suspect just having a path anywhere is a good thing in your neck o'the woods. Socio is strictly optional....if you happen to have any neighbours withing a day's waggon ride.

It's implied in a way.......true Yanitschars were always selected from the ranks of utterly depraved.

this thread makes me want to do my dangdest to find the diamonds in the ruff of the un-L class.... kinda like that time in english in the ninth grade when I did a book report on Maya Angelou specifically because I knew that my English teacher would hate it and find an excuse to fail me... that summer school class was morally satisfying...

Petkal, I think by this summer I will be at least a trainee. I know myself and hobbies, and I fear I'll go a little nuts with the L's :(. I am already amazed by the sweet focus on both the 85 1.8 and 70-200 F4L. The 135 F2.0L, 200 f2.8L are on my list, so who knows. Man, the 85 1.8 is such a sweet lens for one that isn't L.

Hell, for all we know, by New Years I could be a trainee, haha.

Yes, paths are quite nice around here.

Youthful anti-establishment rebellion is a normal thing. Look at Connie boy as an example here....that's where he draws his inspiration from.
Nothing to worry about.;)

One thing you must not look at are my L lenses alone. You shall look at my non-L lenses as well, and then you should ask yourself why is that I keep those ?
Well, because they are all very good to excellent in their own different ways. For example, when it comes to performance per $, it is very very hard to beat the 85 f/1.8 lens, L or not.

Yeah, the 50 1.4 interests me too. Some of the Canon non-L primes seem to be pretty damn good. I've heard good things about the 35mm f2.0. The ef-s 10-22 is another lens that is amazing lots of people. The 70-300mm DO IS seems to be quite popular too as a good light portable lens.

well, i have five... but i think the 300 2.8 and all other superteles should count for at least two. i mean come on, for how much i paid for it i could own the holy trinity and then some.

mind you though i dont consider myself a lens collector. i own the lenses i need and use.
