Great pics. I am still new at photography, but I love the picture of the Landcruiser with the rock in the backround, looking pretty much straight into the sun. How did you still get that much detail in the rock, and that blue in the sky? Did you use a filter, post prosessing, kicking the EV way down, I would like to know how to do that, ive tried a few time and I dont get those results. Thanks

My husband was over there a few years ago for a week business trip. He didn't take a camera! :(

But he said his most stricking scene was of a boy, about 5, taking care of a group of lambs along side a busy road. He knew every one of those little lambs and made sure they didn't run into the street. I have a 7 year old and I wouldn't trust him with crossing the street, let alone with such responsibility. It's a different world there.

Great shots and I love the texture of the land.

Man I need a glass of water after looking at those pics. They're amazing though. I want to get there some day.

Hey there,

welcome to the forum! well the first thing... egypt is outrageously beautiful. Im using a polarizer so bring out the sky and clouds a bit. Just boost the saturation a bit in PP and you should be set. :)

Oh yeah! Its nuts out here. I have been here for about 2 months now. Honestly, having a camera out here is overwhelming. There is SO much happening around you all the time... so many photos missed... Maybe i should just sell the damn thing! haha

Welcome back to POTN. Your images look nice. I like the one with the SUV being pushed to ? (somewhere).

Being in Egypt will surely be an on-going issue with dust on your sensor.

Yeah, I like that one too. Number 2 is probably my favorite though.

Excellent work!

Great photos the 30D loves great sun. With the landscape style it looks like it's using a polariser, that's why I love the shots the 30D pulls of with the sun shinning from behind.

You are sooo lucky I love Egypt;)

seriously... everyone needs at least one 30d!

When you get decent light levels like on those photos, any camera will shine, when I was last in Florida the light levels compared to the UK were amazing!

Nick :-)
