I have heard that the bokeh on this lense leaves a bit to be desired. I would imagine it would be better at longer zoom range. Does anyone have any experience with it, or could post some sample pics?
Cheers

I've read great things about the lense though. 400D || 24-105mm f/4L IS USM || 50mm f/1.8 II || 430 EX || Sandisk Ultra II 4gb CF card || Hoya purple series polarising filter || Lowepro Slingshot AW 200 || 055PROB || 488RC2 || Remote Switch RS-60E3 || CS2

Hard to say why? And I am not comparing f2.8 to f4 here either. When you see gorgeous bokeh eg 70-200 f2.8...you just know it is exquisite! But you can't have it all...all the time! 5D/35L/50 1.4/85 1.8/100 Macro/ 16-35L/24-70L/24-105L

At f/4 I can get bokeh from 70-200. Heck, I can even get pretty nice bokeh from my 17-40L. I'm sure a 600/4 can definitely get a lot of bokeh. Too much gear...
