I like the shot it looks really good ,just the table far right near the boys elbo is gray wants dogeing a little.

Great shot. It will be an inspiration to me as I prepare to take my annual Christmas shot of all five of my children. I've been doing this for sixteen years since my first was one year old. Getting them all to smile, keep their eyes open, and look at the camera has been a "fun" experience.

Nice shot, looks good but is a tad difficult to see accurately at this size.

The background looks like it also needs a little "smoothing" work - it's not too visible on a monitor, but I think you may see it in print. (especially above the boys head and to the far left, as we look, of the girl)

[edit:] it appears that you have already done some next to the girls elbow - but this may require some further attention.

Thanks for the attention to fine detail, as it is a gift and I am learning. I will get back at it. Any recommendations on tools for smoothing white like this? I use clone stamp alot, and not sure if it is the right tool.

You broke one rule five times! Never photograph someone straight on (football shoulders) as it tends to make them look wide. Turning the body to a 45 degree angle adds so much action to an image.

the shot looks great! I guess it is just a personal thing, because no one mentioned it, but i think the BKG behind you and your daughter is a bit harsh. It almost makes you two glow because you stand out so much from the bright white...

I like it too. You put some thought into this and it shows.

For work like this I would probably mask the area to be protected and use the dodge tool with a real low exposure, under 10% and work slowly with a feathered brush.
