October 28th in Hollywood there was a "March for Peace" that attracted about 3 to 5 thousand participants. It was keynoted by Arun Gandhi, the grandson of India's Mahatma Gandhi.

I was surprised by the wide range of ages represented. In contrast to the Peace Marches in the 60's that fell pretty much along generational lines, this one included people that could have actually been at the marches in the 60's. And their children.

This man brought his son.

Any thoughts? Which one works better?

Colour works really well, not a huge fan of the black and white. I think it's a good shot, too - that background blur isn't overdone.. I'm assuming that's the camera blur you were talking about?

Love the shot Rad. B&W seems to suit the age of the subject, but then I think the colour of the flag should show. Perhaps a selective colouration of the flag...but still have it desaturated somewhat?

I like the color one. He looks content, proud.

Color works real well for me. The flag needs to show the red, white, blue. The red in that flag does appear a bit off on my monitor. Good capture. From the bottom of the jacket up he looks like a distinguished gentleman. From there down he looks like an aging protester. Good eye.

I usually don't like "Selective Color", as is usually calls attention to itself. But after playing with the shot for a while, I think that I was able to do it subtly. Keeps the color, but draws attention to the subject. What do you think?
