Here are two of the 20 or so shots (that's all  ) I was able to take this past Friday from our trip to Independence Virginia.

Both are with the Sigma 10-20mm at 10mm, f/11, tripod and spirit level taken during a steady rain from a small driveway bridge.

Comments are welcome and appreciated.

It may be a bit hard to tell, but this is from the opposite side of the bridge with the water coming into the frame from the bottom.

It may only be two out of 20, but they are two to be proud of.

Robert, I see the trees are starting to lose alot of their leaves, pitty. The white stuff is next, eeeeerr.
Two lovely shots you have there, the color of the leaves along side of the green moss is very nice. Keep them coming

In this area, yes, the leaves were definitely coming off fast. However, at other elevations, they were still there and very, very beautiful. Unfortunately, my traveling mate (his van), is not a "stop and smell the roses" kind of guy. I'll never understand how someone can be around such beauty but still be in a hurry to get home.

Thank you very much Frank.

These are nicely done Robert _ did you use a ND filter on these? The color depicts the weather conditions perfectly.

I wasn't able to use a ND on these due to the rain. I could manage to keep it off the lens but felt it would run down a ND and spoiled things. Of course, had I had an umbrella, that wouldn't have been a problem (and to think I used to be a Boy Scout ;) ). :o

Thanks buddy.

Your whites are a bit spoilt in the first one, apart from that...not bad from a rainy day.

Oh...and btw...always carry a brolly with you attatced to your backpack , as long as its not mistaken as an assult weapon.

I agree and will work on that if I decide to print it. Thank you.

Love the colors in the first one, Robert. The frozen foamy water in the second makes for some nice patterns.

Thank you John. It's definitely a spot I'd love to return to. Lots and lots of photo opportunities in the mountains, I just need to make time for it. This trip was primarily to help a friend build a log cabin, so more work than play. ;) :D
