I just opened up the Circuity City flyer in the Sunday paper and saw this. You're basically paying $299 today, but you have the Canon $10 mail-in rebate and also a $90 Circuit City mail-in rebate which brings the price down to $199. I know mail-in rebates can be a pain, but if you fill everything out right away, and mail it, you're ultimately getting $100 back in the mail (even though it will probably take 6-8 weeks to get).

It's a pretty good deal if you are looking to get this flash.

Thanks... that beats B&H price of $230 plus shipping.
If you live near a circuit city, like most of us do, that will save you a few bones!

There has also been a 10% off coupon for CC, so that will bring the price down to $169 which isnt bad..but I guess you still need to add tax ontop of it.

Not too great a deal. You get a fishy Circuit City rebate (my previous 3 never worked), and even after that, you're paying a mere $30 less than good ol' B&H. You'll pay tax in the store too, for most people. Skip it and go B&H.

I believe I have to agree with Ronald on this one. Those rebates don't always pan out even with everything done right. Not to mention the 2 months to get your money back.

Maybe B&H will see me again then? :)

Im sorry about CC's rebates ronald... I am suprised that such a big company has had those problems.... i have used many mail in rebates, and never had any problems, but i guess my time will come.

Ill just use B&H

I eventually got a rebate from CC for a cable modem I bought. Took over 6 months and I actually forgot about it but I did get a check. IMHO, not worth it unless it's a manufacturer's rebate.

Every rebate I have done at CC I have received in 2-3 weeks. And I have done well over 40 rebates in the past 2 years

I say skip the rebates for so little and shop at BH! No waiting for rebates, no tax (unless you live in N.Y.) and downright great customer service!
