After climbing.....what! what!, let me rephrase...After falling, slipping, tumbling down this gorge I was a little disappointed :(there wasn't more Fall colors surounding the falls. By this time I was a complete mess and I wasn't leaving without at least one shot.
Most of the water that you see in the FG is coming from a stream to the right that intersects with the falls.

Thanks for looking

Nice one Frank, and much easier to appreciate on the linked photo. I take it that it was just your pride and trousers that suffered, and the camera kit was ok?

Thanks alot John. And yes the trousers suffered quite a bit, but since nobody was there to witness it my pride was undamaged:lol:;)

Thanks Stan, actually this wasn't a secret place I just found it two weeks ago on one of my outings.

Photographs are records of life. Pity they don't make music when you put them in a record player. :p

Nice shot Frank, well worth the tumble. Nice lines and lighting, the shot has a beginning, middle, and an end. It would be better with a bit more red/orange/green/brown foliage surrounding it, but you made an awesome shot out of something you expected much less from.

Great picture Frank. As the others have said, the colour is very rich. And correct me if I'm wrong, but I think you could easily turn this pic into 3 pictures (sorta).

-crop for the top half
-crop for the bottom half
-and the third simply being the entire photo as is.

Could just be a crazy thought created by my warped mind though.....what says you? :)

You've got more than enough color in those foreground rocks to make up for any lack of autumn colors Frank. The colors are great, especially that water. Really well done buddy.

Thanks Dorman, I may go back to the gorge again and try different angles

Lovely picture, I like the way the water progresses down the frame - and I love the colour!
