All good shots John which bring back happy memories. Really like th colours in the first one the only thing which spoils it is the horrible fence on the bridge but that's not your fault. :)

Thanks David. Have you visted Dawyck before?

Great shots John, looks like a really nice place. You get a good idea for just how large the tree is next to the Swiss Bridge in the second shot.

Loe the chapel shot though i wouls probably bump up the saturation a teeny bit, but thats just a personal preference.

Thanks Adrian, I did try a Velvia action but thought that it was a bit over the top. Perhaps a simpler saturation tweak might be better.

The stream does it for me, John. However, the first picture has some really nice colors in it, but I think the big tree next to the bridge works better in the second shot. In the first shot I find it a little distracting. I think they should chop it down. ;)

I love old structures like that chapel. Thanks for sharing. :)

I know what you mean about the tree trunk behind the bridge. ;)

Nice series of shots! It's amazing how tall the tree is in the second shot! The shot of the chapel is my favorite.

Thanks Carol. It was an unexpected and pleasant surprise to come across the little chapel.

Thanks Dimitri, there were plenty of families there (which made getting the Swiss Bridge shots a pain). In addition, there are plenty of photo opportunities that would make this a good place for a photography meet too. ;)

It's an arboretum, so consists mainly of trees and rhododendron plants. Here's a link to the features of Dawyck Botanic Garden (external link).
