...using my brand new Canon 5D.

Just a test shot with the new camera, otherwise nothing really to get excited about out. I had to use 2-exposure contrast masking (and a tripod) for this baby because of the deep shadows and overblown highlights of the setting sun in the sky.

As many of you pointed out to me in an earlier thread "Dynamic Range" is not one of the best features of this camera.

"Dynamic Range" is not that strong of a feature on any of these cameras except for maybe the Fuji DSLR's. Generally if you expose the Sky the foreground shadows can be tweaked in post processing to some degree, probably not 2 -stops though without introducing noise.
