Watching Foreigners -Chunhua, China

When westerners travel off the tourist track in China, it is common to be found to be an object of interest by the people in the villages through which we travel. During a ten minute "rest stop," this gentleman this gentleman was continually observing us.
I have tried to decide if the image could be improved by further cropping, or....

I presume then that he didn't chase after and lynch you for taking his shot then? :lol: Perhaps a crop off the right to remove the anonymous shoulder might strengthen the concentration onto the main character.

Nah. I have three or four shots of him. I have found that a smile and a kind word usually gets cooperation here.
Thanks for the suggestion. I guess I still have tendency to see only the original size of the box when cropping, something that probably hearkens back to days in the darkroom making standard size prints.

It certainly brings the focus onto the character so yes, I think that it is better.

Thanks for the thoughts. I ps'd the image to darken the the people and areas around the gentleman. Does that "feel" right?
