In deference to those of you who are suffering from the winter blues, I have taken these in black & white, so you won't be tormented by the turquoise waters and blue skies :D I was trying out angles, and would appreciate C&C:

Thanks for sparing use Elisabeth Ann! (but it didn't work)

...and number 2 is my favorite...I really like the angle on that one...

Well, that's a pretty tough choice. I really like the first, but having the dome cut off takes away from it I think. I would say the second is the better.
Well done as always Elisabeth.

These are great EA, both compositionally, and from the B&W processing which is very effective. You're not fooling me about the weather there for a minute though.:p

I like them both! I went back and forth looking at both of them and think I favor the first one. You can see the whole front of one angel and the whole back of the other and I also like the shading in it. Bet they look great in color too!

Great contrast EA, B&W is a good choice, but I would like to see the colours....

Number one for me, although I wish the top of the black structure wasn't cut off. The b/w works GREAT with the lighting at the time. The sky really stands out, too.

Thanks everyone - I have plenty of opportunity to photograph them again and get the dome of the gazebo in - they are at Sandals Resort, where I go every Friday. Can't show you a colour version, I shot these in B&W mode. But I do have colour images of the angels in my gallery, here's a link to one of them:

Great shots.

It's 79F and monsooning today  and I have a light sweater on! Your Gortex jacket would come in handy for the freezer section in the super market  We do wear jackets and sweaters during cold fronts in the winter, being used to temps in the high 80's and 90's, when it drops to around 70F, it feels a tad chilly to us! And it has been known to go down to the low 50's at night during winter. Brrrrr!

They are all excellent, but you can't beat the colour one - I think it has the best perspective and the colour of that water is amazing! A very calming image.

Looking at the color one I think I prefer the B&W. More powerful of an image.

I like the first one, but I agree that the top of the dome needs to be there. By the way, my wife and I were married under that dome!
