I shot a wonderful family today. We went to three locations starting about 2:30pm. I had forgotten about the 2nd location until I saw a thread on the Texas Photography Forum. I checked it out earlier in the week.

When we got there I was shocked to see 5 other "pro's" at the same location. After we shot another 3 photogs showed up with families. It was kinda funny.

Well here you go, let me know what you think.

The shots in the "trees" were all used with the 70-200mm, 1D Mark IIn and a large reflector, no flash.

Thanks,

For some reason I take better shots of people going away then I do with them looking at me.

The rest of the session is on my website in the people section.

Top 3 are 3, 5, and 8

3- I love the capture of the baby still in the air! the babies expression is great because she doesn't appear to be scarred, like she finds comfort in her daddy! Trust!

5- By far my most favorite of all! like SARA said, it is priceless!!!

8- i just love how they are all sitting! i like the effect it has with the legs out like that!

EXCELLENT job!!!

He still has one more move.

The brightness and blur of the background in #3 and #6 make them difficult to look at - hard on the eyes.

I love #6 and #7 ...beautiful family. Great shots..I really like #8 but the only thing that bugs me a little is the shadow on the little boys face. Would've been so cute if his face was out of the shadow. Great job!

A very nice set of photos with some excellent poses/compositions. The lighting is terrific. I think a couple are a bit over processed though. #3 in particular looks like the skin has been softened. #5 & #8 are excellent.

Thanks....I really need an assistant on shoots like these...it is just so hard to see everything when you are trying to capture everyone looking and smiling.

I dislike the shadow as well....the post process in #3 is to bright, I agree. I just picked out these few did a quick virtual photographer post and put them up. Once the family has gone through the ones they like I'll then do more post process.

Thanks everyone.
