Gave it some PP to give it a story-scene effect, in a slightly dull, gritty, moody way (I thought at least). CC, edits, love its hate its whatevers are sweet as always.  Quite new to all this.

Reminds me of a shot Marie would put together. Interesting observation! As it happens, it was taken on a very bright, sunny day, so I'd already brought down the light and saturation levels considerably. But let's see if I can play a bit... Quite new to all this.

I did like the texture of it though, and I might play a bit with the skin tones some, but yeah. Many many thanks. Quite new to all this.

Right everyone, your comments have encouraged me to play around a bit more. This is the edit which I think is between the first and second version. I desaturated it a little bit, and did some blur and original image layering to soften the hard grainy look, but didn't let it be as harsh and light as the first one - here we go!  Quite new to all this.

Thanks for the welcome. As I said in some other post, I really admire and respect the work of a lot of people here, and am eager to learn. Anyway, I gave this a quick darkening, skin filling, highlight making run through. Is this more like what you all had in mind?
