This was taken from Observation Point. 3 rows of 11 images were taken with the 85mm lens on the 5D and stitched. The hikers on Angel's Landing, the high point on the monolith on the right side of the canyon, can be seen in full size picture. This spot is about 2100 feet above the Virgin River and 500 feet above Angel's Landing.

This view was a bit north and would almost be a continuation of the above picture. It was stitched from 5 images taken handheld with the 28mm lens on the 5D. The Temple of Sinawava is just around the bend in the canyon to the right.

C&C welcome.

I love these, Jeff. You do such a good job with the stitching. The clouds add so much to the picture, not always easy getting clouds in Utah. Thank goodness!;)

WOW. That is amazing stitching! Must be hard to get it done with all those variations in the rocks and getting the clouds to fit. Maybe you'll be getting to those gigaprojects soon!

I'd love to see a 100% crop of those hikers, just to see the actual size of the photo.

But anyhow - great work!

Great work, You must have a pretty steady hand to be able to stitch without using a tripod.

Thanks everyone. This is a 100% crop of the top of Angel's Landing.

Win, this was taken on Friday, Oct. 6th, when the skies opened over southern Utah. I was on the trail coming downing Echo Canyon when the storm started. I was soaked in about 2 minutes. This is the sky about 20 minutes after the second picture was taken. It was actually pretty neat to out when it is raining that hard. The amount of water coming off of the sandstone cliffs in the Weeping Rock ampitheater was impressive.
