on the 1st pic, the flash is a bit too bright immediately to the right of josiah's elbow; it distracts the attention - also, the focus is more on the ball rather than on J's face.

I noticed that too..... I will have to work on that. It was so odd to take these kind of pictures in an indoor area. I tried to take pictures inbetween the fence and all I got was a black or very dark photo. Good thing I have almost every Sat. to practice.
