I was down by the lake the other morning approx 6:45am.
The Idea was to try and do some long exposures 10 mins+ about an hour before the sun came up. I am a sucker for those dark blue skies!
Anyway i forgot it was the end of british summer time and the clocks had gone back. My Mrs had already put the alarm clock back and hour before we went to bed and by the time the alarm went off it was about 30 mins to sunrise. I was a bit annoyed.

Anyway i went out seeing as i was awake but captured nothing of note....you can't win 'em all.

Here's the only one worth posting.

I don't think you should be annoyed, Jon - that is excellent! Very tranquil.

Super nice job _ only wish it was in the 800 pixel range.

Fantastic, need I say more. Tranquility at its best, the colors are fantastic great capture whether it was what you intended or an accident, a keeper either way.

That looks very nice Jon. Do you happen to have a link to a bigger version so we can appreciate it better?

Beautiful shot. I also would like to see it a sight bit larger.

Many thanks, but i am still unsure about the open space ant the bottom. I was looking for a more interesting foreground but was loaded down with gear and the sun was coming up fast. I spotted these two bushes and hoped they would frame the shot quite nicely, i think it's ok but i may go back another day to try again as i know it could be better. BUT then again i am my own worst critic!

The good thing about this time of year is that the sunsets and sunrises are at a more managable time even if it is a lot colder!

In my opinion you are worrying for nothing. the two bushes frame the shot nicely and lead you into the middle. I like the shot for composition and some really very nice light. I would be proud to have taken it.

That is a gorgeous shot Jon. I don't think I would change a thing, especially the composition. Great job!
