Great colors, I like shots were the water is a perfect mirror. Only thing I suggest is to not have the shore line dead center. As is these are great shots.

so what s the best place to place the shore line.lower or higher
if higher is this what you mean.v same place

Very nice colors and reflections Mark.
But place the shoreline/horizon where you have more interests

with these shots i was trying to exclude the washed out sky.
so i guess thats why the shore is dead centre.
i read all about this advice in magazines, but when i get to were i am going the rules go out the window ,i always forget what i read

Mark,i like the comp. of the 2nd one,its a cracker.
You`ve lost lots of detail though,the picture looks like cr**,all mashed up and pixelised,did you save it as...save for web?

The first one was just begging for a crop and a little tweaking. Nice composition and beautiful colors, Mark!

I like the job you did on the crop, however I think you over saturated the colors (on my monitor at least). The colors in the original is more pleasing to me and more than likely better represents the actual colors of the scene.

As Frank said, highlight the most interesting part whether that's up or down does not matter. If I'm faced with a shot that I cannot place the horizon where I want, I try to get as close as possible and then crop like JT did.

Nice colours in the first but the second, IMO, needs underexposing a little to bring out the colours.
