[SIZE=4]EDIT
There was a missunderstanding with a fellow photographer from the FM site.
He thought i stole one of his images , the truth is that i replied to one of his posts there by editing his picture (which i had to embed in the temp.folder in my gallery) and he didn`t realise that.
I`ve PM`d the guy and everything is cleared now , i`ve no intension of copy theft anybodys pictures , , no interest whatsoever as you all know.

I`d like to thank Scottie , JT and everyone else for the support and believing in me , highly appreciated.

Hi everyone

After a veri dissapointing start of the day (very cloudy with white skies) and plenty of waiting for something to happen (and that includes me and Scottie),just patiently looking at the clouds, eventually there was a wee openning there and the sun came out.
It lasted a few seconds and back in again.
That went over and over 3 times and every time i was trying to be ready for it.

Scottish weather......always hunting for light.

Anyway , thats the only one i managed to catch , i hope you like it.

PS: Could you also give your advice for this one please?

What advice could you possibly need, other than "frame it and hang it on the wall"?:D

I went to Stonehaven last year, lovely little place!

Looks like your wait was well worth it! That's an interesting colored rock...is that a direct result of the sun, or is the rock a bit colored?

Stunning photo! It looks like the sun made an appearance just for you! Lovely coloring on that rock!

Quite a bit of cloud cover up there Dimitri, no wonder you had to wait so long for the sun. But what's a sunset without clouds. I bet you got some nice colors after the sun went down.
I find the the brightness of the FG rock balances the image with the BG sun. The sun's glare leads your eye from FG to BG, that's what I like about this image.

Very nice shot.

Very nice Dimitri. Looking at your settings and how great your shots are, I'm heading back to the drawing board and try for some better landscape shots. :)

Thats the rock colour Carol, obviously at the top ,the rock was more vivid because of the sun rays.
Thanks for your comments.

Very nice shot.

It was a sunrise Frank, very soon after that, everything was gone,no light at all, just a cloud cover.

The sky is very dynamic and I could stand to see more of it. My only other cc is that the sun is centered but I guess when you're only getting it for a few seconds at a time, you take what you can. ;) :D
Overall, a very nice shot.

Very nice. I wouldn't change a thing. I've been thinking more and more about getting a GND for they give such a wonderful look.

No advice here! This shot is very nice...
This is one of the few photos I think I've seen using a 5-stop ND grad...two grads stacked together I'm assuming?

I think your composition has worked very nicely. By catching the low light and throwing much of the midground into darkness, you've emphasised and highlighted for the warm light on the main foreground rocks which in turn lead you into the photo and onto the warm colours of the sun.
