Great composition and detail. These shots with the riders eyes being visible are always good. Nice job.

Wow, another great shot. Hey thanks for the help on the RM forum a few weeks ago. I went ahead and bought a 350D and am going to shoot some of the cyclocross races here. I was just wondering what the normal policy on the use of flash is in mtn biking. You seem to have quite a few with the flash. I was given the go ahead to use a flash at the local races, but I was just wondering if that's the norm since most sport don't allow the use of falsh.

Go to a large downhill race. We routinely set up portable studio strobes and 2-3 flashes in sections to light it up. Riders won't even see it. They have other things to worry about. That shot above has 3 flashes being used.

Yeah when I had pictures taken of me that I posted in RM, I could see the flash go off, but it never bothered me. It seems as though a flash is now allowed at many sports events when it didn't used to be.
