Rick - thanks for your comments. I can understand #1 being a little dark... And I'll take "a classic JT photo" as a compliment anyday!
I'd love to hear from you if there are any favorite haunts of yours for taking pictures out in that area...especially since you live there! Living in Riverside county makes it feasible for me to get out to that area once in awhile.

Fortynine Plams Oasis, Lost Palms Oasis, Cholla Cactus Garden, Lost Horse Mine, Queen Valley Mine, Pine City, Cottonwood, Split Rock, Barker Dam, Key's View, Key's Ranch are just a few. I usually venture off the trails in some of these areas. Most areas require some hiking. Some like Key's View do not. There are some burn areas from the fires this year that will create some nice photo op's. Looking forward to more of your photos!

Both shots are gorgeous, Stephen, very well done. I've been to JTNP and found it great for photography. However, I was unable to be there at the "golden" hour, which adds so much. Keep up the great work.

Thanks all, for your kind words! And thanks Rick for the tips on some good hangouts...I'll have to check those out the next time I'm out there. Too bad there's not very many! :D

Christopher, we might be cousins...you never know. :D Enjoyed your gallery, btw...
