Waterfall, near Askrigg, N Yorks.

I came across this waterfall in a field at the back of someones house. The land is private and there is no public access, but I inquired at the house and was allowed to approach the fall. I find it similar to Thornton Force in minature. My real probelm here was the direct sunlight and lack of foreground features, hope you like, comments welcome.

Yes lots of rain the day before, and to make life hard there was alot of spray coming straight at the camera. I reckon 35ft tall this fall, not bad for a back garden water feature ?

Not bad at all. Yeah the trouble with the turbalane of the water hitting the bottom. Trying to keep lens water free

Very nice, #2 is my favorite. What a nice rusty color the water has.

Yeh, coming down Heavy the day before when I was taking the Strid. The river actually rose while I was there and as is evident added water to all of the local rivers. It really is annoying, one day rain in your face and the next a pristine featureless blue sky with bright winter sun....

Cheers Dimitri, the secondshot was more through not having anything down stream to use in the foreground.

Here is the house, looking from the bridge in the village, which owns the land the fall is situated on. The dark shadow required two shots and some fiddling in PS. No chance of using NDG's for this shot I am affraid.
