Post your Dream Want to Shoot ... Transportation

Ok so the Point of this is to post the Transportation you would most want to shoot and to give new people ideas they wouldn't have thought of before. Such as the Train, Plain, and Balloons etc.

I am hoping this and the others I soon make will be made Stickys.

Now doubt about it, the Space Shuttle.,....

The Concorde . . . on short finals to Meigs Field.

Any land speed record attempt at Bonneville. Honda F1 perhaps.

Oh man the list is endless , erm ets just say anything that moves except VW beetles *pukes*

WWII German U-boat while in actual use. I took a tour of one, the U-505 can give one a good taste of what those crews had to do, and movies don't come close to the reality of life an a U boat was really like. But to see one in action, not sinking boats of course, but under power with the diesels chugging away, the water dripping, steam, haze, all of the activity needed to keep the thing afloat. Great pic opportunities.

I know - that's why it's my dream shot! Meigs wasn't long enough to handle the Concorde anyhow.

If you think about it most of the really cool images have often been covered and recovered ad infinatum. With the exception of action images, most subjects have already been covered. Look at the number of Bald Eagle images available now vs just 10 years ago when few photographers had the skill and the time and equipment to go and record those images.

Sites like this one, Photo.net, fencecheck.com, and many of the existing racing sites have covered 85-90% of what was once the domain of just a few photographers.

So it is quite likely that your dream photoshoot has already been accomplished by someone else. So now what, the market is saturated with images why would you ever want to go to Africa to photograph elephants, Antarctica to shoot mountains or Lemans and shoot cars?

How many nekkid ladies on black backgrounds do we actually need?:o

Primarily because it is something that WE as photographers have yet to check off on our own personal lists. I have already photographed a good bit of my list in the last 30 years of image creation. Not all were keepers but I was there on purpose as a photographer. The ISS(?) you bet your sweet A$$ I'd go.

How about a small amount of thread drift, what have you already shot that was on your list?
