Wonderful captures. I take it the tamron allows you to autofocus...how much does it slow the AF on the 400? I am asking because the Canon 1.4 with the pins taped just doesn't work for me and I have to keep manually focussing so I am considering the Tamron. Gary Fairhead C/C welcome .....

Thanks, Gary.... the bare 400 is of course faster, but with the standard Tamron 1.4x, it's still fast enough.
