Underexposed these by a stop to not blow the highlights (sun was peeking through the tree in the background but using an ND grad for this small area made no sense as it would darken the whole top area). Underexposure also increases contrast and colour, having learned that the 5D tends to get too easily oversaturated I am careful to underuse the Saturation slider in RSE. I am also careful to under use the contrast and colour correction sliders in Shadow/Highlight tool. The rest is tweaking ...
Over the last 15 months I have developed my tequinique from nothing, using hints and tips from various sources, including this one, but no one has ever given me a list of ten things to do to make a perfect picture - because each one is unique and you have to find your own style of doing things. So while I often give tips and hints (although I consider myself a bit of a Newbie compared to some here) I can't tell people how to do it cos then all the images would look like mine and lack the personal touch...

!
So yes I will help, but no, I will not tell you everything I know....
I didn't include and technical data on these as saving for web loses it and I don't have the original with me...sorry.
PS - flatterey will get you nowhere, professor indeed!

Lol Touche! I'm going to take a stab. Maybe I'm elementary here but maybe about a 1/2-1 sec exp., f8 - f16, anywhere from 20-50mm, polarized filter, maybe direct placement of tree leaves, definately underexposed a bit, some selective saturation and exposure in the tree leaves, quite possibly some airbrushing in selective areas of the stream to get the rusty color, some secret filter that you won't tell us about, a tripod, and some feet possibly soaking wet.
Am I close or what??
