Yup! Our whole city (Elgin) lost power yesterday around 2pm, and it was out till late ;ast night. As much as that sucks, I liked it. It took out all the street lights and such, and so our neighborhood was pitch black. It made for a nice Holloween trick or treat experience. Everyone just went and sat in their yards to give candy and such. It was a lot of fun for the kids, as well as the parents...
I think it takes and pretty interesting twist of events to knock out all the power in your whole town on Halloween night! Even better than a book/movie...!
