New here & this is my 1st post.... I often admire all of your work. I can't compete.

However I try a little here & there to do my own or have my girlfriend do them as she is better than I. We both have the Canon Rebel XT digital.

This year I am wanting to do some of my kids & my daycare children (I run an in-home daycare). I am looking for unique ideas & even classic ones that are done just a bit differently.

Thought maybe if I posted here now that Hallowen is over.... that I might be able to get some good ideas from you guys on different things to do. The kids range in age from newborn to 10 & I am even considering a family photo for our card this year instead of just the kids but am undecided at this point.

So hoping we can all post our x-mass shots so we can get some ideas from each other. Thanks for all the help in advance! :) :) :)

Welcome to the group!!!

Here are a couple from last year. We haven't started the project yet this year.

Our Christmas card. I wasn't that thrilled with it, but my wife liked it a lot.

Our friends little Christmas Elf.

Hope these help to get your creative juices flowing!

Nice example solinger! I'm not wild about the card design itself but the photos... gees. That middle shot is priceless.

OMG Sam. I love that second shot of the 'elf.' Her eyes are amazing and the green background helps with the mood of the season. All of the kids are adorable!

I'm doing Christmas pictures for the first time this year too, and I've been taking leaflets from all the stores that do portraits, and keeping the ones that come in the mail. I find that if I look at them all, I start to get plenty of my own ideas.

I think those pictures are wonderful, Solinger :). Your girl is a good little poser!

Solinger,

Those are INCREDIBLE photos! I personally think that is a beautiful christmas card and would be thrilled to be the receiver of it! :D

Your children are so handsome and pretty!

I really like this one. I held the present and he was busy trying to pull it free and I shot this picture of him accepting his present. I think it worked nicely.
