All to familiar with my fellow POTN residents of Scotland, oh and not forgetting the well travelled Les ;)

Here's my take on our wee get together a few weeks back, some of my usual compositions and a few other wee angles I gave a try to, I'm sure ya'll will let me know if they work or stink ;)

I'm quite glad we got there before our recent weather as most of the falling leaves have been blown to another continent the last few nights

I like #1 a lot, and #3 is pretty cool perspective on the trees. #2 seems a bit too cluttered - I really like the concept, but this one is too busy for me.

None of them stink, Scottie!

#3 works the best for me - perfect compositional use of that super wide 10mm and perfect exposure of all areas. Did you have to PP it to get that perfect detail in both foreground and the leaves above?

My second favourite is the last one - the water is like mist among the pebbles. :)

Something is not quite right in #1. My eye is drawn out by the busy lower left corner. Well exposed though and the water effect is excellent.

Very nice Scottie, and it's very interesting how when given the same scenery, thirteen photographers can portray it in so many different ways.

I really like the last one. A different perspective on the flowing water concept. And three definitely shows the majesty of the trees.

Well, I'm going to have go against the flow here and say I really like the creative angles these pictures were taken from, Scottie! I like the concept of #4, and have tried a similar idea myself without success. Wow, # 1 is great! It looks like you were standing in the middle of the river! I could see possibly trying to move a little to the left to get some more of the rapids in the shot, and the rock closer to center. Other than that, great shot.
#2 I like for its simplicity.
Good creative shots!
I too am amazed by the wide variety of shots taken that day!

Love No. 1 although the darkening work on the sky has left a little too much glow around the trees and cottage - and I think the bit in the trees to the left needs darkening up too. Great shot though and the water effect is beautiful.

I really like #3 - feel like I'm falling upwards into the frame when I look at it. Great execution.

Scottie, that first shot is just fantastic, excellent detail and color and the water is one of the better ones of seen.
The second and forth shots are nice and creative, I like them. We all have to be creative once in awhile.
And the third has great perspective, I like how the two trees are coming from both corners of the frame.

I like all these shots, well done

Mike I've boosted the saturation slightly by +5 during the RAW conversion, other than that the bright sky seems to give the upper leaves a transparent glow.

#3 for me, pal. That's a very fun perspective. That tree has boobs!
