I've gotta tell you when I scrolled down and was able to see the whole first image I just said "wow" out loud! Great job all around.

Nice shots Scottie, #1 looks so idyllic, the colours in the trees are fantastic and with the water and the foreground rock it's a beautiful composition.

[QUOTE=Buggbairn;2201285]All to familiar with my fellow POTN residents of Scotland, oh and not forgetting the well travelled Les ;)

Here's my take on our wee get together a few weeks back, some of my usual compositions and a few other wee angles I gave a try to, I'm sure ya'll will let me know if they work or stink ;)

I'm quite glad we got there before our recent weather as most of the falling leaves have been blown to another continent the last few nights

Those are all nice images. May I ask what actions you used in photoshop during your post process?

Nice series Scott.
Your second shot (the leaves) is a very difficult one to pull off but you did pretty well.
The idea in our head is often better than the finished result.
Thanks for posting.

No.1 is a lovely image, :D Scottie. 3 and 4 are nice shots with original compositions, but the second doesn't do it for me.

#1 I'm not sure about...I avoided that view altogether as I knew the sky just wasn't going to work without doing some aggressive processing on it.

#2 is OK

#3 is a cracking shot. evenly exposed and great creative angle.

#4 (the pebble shot) is a wall-hanger for me.

You earned that Steak Pie at Bruar Falls :)

I love the low-angle view of your first shot! Quite impressive. I hope your camera didn't get wet! Very lovely series overall.

Great set of photos but the first one is very special...one in which I had to call for my wife to stop what she was doing and see it for herself. Her reply..."Wow! I want to go to Scotland."

I like them all!

Very interesting composition on the 3rd: the trees look like those scary tree-like characters form The Lord of The Rings. Great job nailing that!

I'm very new to photoshop mate so don't really have a "normal workflow" as such to share with you, sorry buddy

Thanks Adam, the 10-22mm done most of the work there mate, I just had to dodge a few macro photographers who were lurking around;)

Thanks Paul, and your right areas such as these I don't visit much so no harm in trying a few other simple approaches now and then

Thanks Mate, yeah the camera always survives, whether I stay dry though is another matter.

No 3 for me also, has a sublime attraction, difficult to put your finger on, but works so well.
