Sold my 17-55, went to FF, overrated, now I'm back. Should have my all time favorite lens some time next week.

Interesting comments, I'm thinking of going FF so that I can have a body that will MA for my 35L but I would seriously miss the 17-55, maybe I should just go 7D as that also has MA ability.

I believe 50D also has MFA if you're not looking to spend as much for a 7D.

Cheers Julian, that's something worth considering. If I save up enough I might just go 5DIII :D

I am tempted to mount my 17-55 onto my 5D3.

But I sanity got the better part of me and I decided against doing so. (Joking of course, the part about mounting it.) :p

However, my walk around would most likely end up being 7D + 17-55, 5D3 + 70-200. Covers the range mighty nicely, IMO. :)

If I do get a 5DIII and there's a good chance that I will, I won't part with my 550D/17-55, I see too many people with regrets and some of my sharpest photos have been with this lens. Like you I really want to try the 70-200 f4L IS on a FF body, no doubt I'll take along some lenses to try before I buy unless I get it in HK :D
