Great photos everyone!

Here's one from an official opening (of a new laboratory) I covered at work yesterday:

IMAGE: http://hogster.rchomepage.com/misc/group_shot_after.jpg
40D, Av mode set to F8.0, 1/60s, 17-55mm F2.8 IS at 23.0mm, ISO200, Auto White Balance, direct (no diffuser) 430EX flash set to ETTL with a flash E/V bias of -1/3

Will try to upload some more later :)

Sounds like a good price! :) FYI, having a filter on the front will not stop dust entering the lens ... it enters between the zoom ring and the inner lens barrel (the volume of the lens increases when you zoom in, so air has to get into the lens somehow). Personally I haven't had a dust problem with my 17-55 whatsoever and I've had mine since Sept 2007 ... others haven't been so lucky.

The bottom line though, is that unless you have a LOT of dust in the lens, you won't notice any image degradation in your image - it's nowhere near as important as having dust on the sensor.

Hope this helps :)

David

Gee, you guys really know how to waste this forum's hard disk space and the bandwidth by keep quoting multiple images repeatedly. I wonder if the moderators here will start deleting some of these posts?

Gee whiz, calm down.

Those shots aren't hosted on the site's servers. They're not attachments. How are they taking up hard disk space and wasting bandwidth any more than your usual text post?

We do leave his cage opened but he chooses not to fly around.. he just sorta sits on the top and hangs out there.

He loves sitting on shoulders; anyone's! He was bred and raised by humans so he's very comfortable around us.

See how happy he is?
