Heh, that first shot is quite humorously unflattering :p

#2 would have been good if the lighting was a little better and the horizon line was straight.

Good captures - love the reflection

Indoor pool lighting is very difficult

was a flash used on the last shot?

I have noticed some similar banding (as you do #2) in some of my swim photos lately as well...whats up with that.

I really like #2 with the reflection, But like Justin said it should be straight and it may be a little soft.

I also like image #2 but like the diagonal line. I have made a step-mount which accentuates the diagonal feeling.

thanks for the comments and input. No flash was allowed in pool area. Dark on one side and wall of windows on the other end. Like shooting night and day. Had a touch judge that was determined to stay in my way so I mover over 2 lanes to the vacant lane for the reflection shot. Being for print we can crop to level out subject. And under further review should have brightened up the image a bit. thanks for all the comments

I also like #2, It is so hard with indoor pool lighting. Like you said dark on one side, windows on the other with stands always seem to be facing the windows.

When you shoot the next indoor meet, please post some shots - Do you shoot these in manual or Av or Tv. We seem to have best luck with TV set at 1/500

Shot with a lower shutter speed because I wanted to have some motion in the image.
