I was really excited about getting the opportunity to do Day old twins! I had a picture in my head of how cute the shots were going to be...I was soooo wrong. These were the fussiest babies I have ever seen they didn't want to touch each other, when I put them next to each other they would scratch, kick, and scream until you separated them...Needless to say my shots were C R A P!!!! I sooo wanted them to turn out.

If you were that close to someone for 9 months you'd probably want to get away from them too....

I think your pics turned out ok...

i like the last pic best... better contrast with black background..

they've been fightin for room and space for the past nine months. They've been out for a day. All they're lookin for is a bit of space and some freedom.;)

I am definitely diggin the last picture.

I'm sorry you had a rough time. Hate when that happens. :(
I wish that you could see both babies equally. You know, all through their lives they are going to be 'in competition' with each other over so many things..those first two shots make it look as though the second baby is an afterthought. I have twin sisters who are in their 20's now. Trust me...that's how they would use it, LOL. ;)
I know how hard it is to get newborns to cooperate though.
Are you going to get a chance to reshoot them?

That last photo is beautiful as a single baby.

Yeah I thought about that. I got some shots from above too but they are so far apart it just didn't look right.

It was a free shoot and the dad was a complete nightmare...I will not be going back.

Sorry you had a tough time. Shooting babies and children is not easy. If you get to reshoot them again, how about shooting them in a line? Just like the last shot but with baby number 2 going the other way. That way you see both babies equally (cause them less fighting when they are older). I did this once with twins and the parent's loved it. Oh, and try placing a small towel under the white fur were the babies head is going to be. Makes them a bit more comfy and lifts the head a bit so it won't get as loss in the fur. :)

Hey the babies are new, maybe they won't notice if you use the same baby twice, LOL. ;) :p
Nah, I'm just kidding, but it was fun anyway.

Cat... I was so about to do the same thing before I got to your post ;) Too funny.

Sorry you had such a rough shoot Ashley! Reschedule when they're just a little bit older (couple of weeks) and maybe they'll be playing nice :)

So much dead space in your 1st 3 pictures. Why didn't you move the camera vertically for a better composition? You have the kids and then 70% wall in the shots. I would suggest a closer shot with just about only their heads. The shots look fair.

I guess thats just a preference thing...I like the composition on these.
