Hi Guys,

My new lens has just arrived today, a spanking new 17-40 f/4 'L' :D :D , looks great, much better than the kit lens, can't wait to get out and about to try it out, will post some piccy's as soon as I get chance.

Yes it does look better than the 'kit' lens, It has a red ring around the end for a start! :-)

I don't have it myself but by all accounts it's a great lens - Get out, take some pics (No ducks please!) and enjoy it.

Definitely post some pics when you can. You will see that you have certainly "upgraded" now with the 17-40. Congrats on the purchase! You're going to love this lens!

It's a great lens, fantastic build and image quality and if the focal length suits you as well as it does me, it's a great walk-about lens too.

You realise this is the slippery slope, one L leads to another!

Steve, dont suppose you've got any shots taken with the 17-40 its just that I'm not all that happy with mine, I only get acceptable images with really, really good light (I never like setting my iso higher than 400)
