Bought online - buydig.com - had to send it back to Tamron for calibration. It came back a different lens. It stays on my camera now.

1 copy, purchased from B&H, think it was about 2.5 years ago.

On 300D, 20D, and now 30D - very sharp even at f/2.8. When it attains focus, it's sharp as anyone could hope, especially at that price point. I have found on the 20D that it hunts a bit in low-light situations. Haven't tested it on the 30D, so it could be the camera body and not the lens.

I have purchased the EF 17-55 f/2.8 IS and the EF 85 f/1.8 as a "replacement" lens for this, but I intend to keep the Tammy - just because.

Bought mine from B&H. Good copy first time. It is a little soft wide open but still not bad.
