Cfn 4-3; 11-0; 18-2 on a 1D.
I have set the 'X' button to AAFPS, the '*' button to center AF point. Don't know about a 10D

You can download a manual for the 10D off Canons website...

I love that button on my 10D. I hate that my 20D does not have it also. I don't like the joystick because it's too far way to ove with my thumb with my camera vertical.
