The Sigma is known for producing slightly warmer tones, which is just something to keep in mind (and can be easily corrected in RAW/photoshop). The Canon has slightly faster autofocus and weathersealing. I've seen many reviews that prefer the image quality of the Sigma, as well as many that prefer the Canon. Enjoy; the 70-200 2.8 is my favorite lens! Cody Goddard

RonaldS.Jr. Prodigal "Brick" Layer More info | Nov 02, 2006 15:40 | #3 I've actually found that most Sigma lenses I've used (20 1.8, 24-70EX, 50-500, 30 1.4, and a couple more) seem to produce noticeably cooler tones than their Canon counterparts (20 2.8/24L, 24-70L, 100-400, 35 f2/f.1.4L). Never used this one, though. Mac users swear by their computers. PC users swear at theirs.
