Hi guys,

I took his photo of a friend of mine.
The first one I took, I thought my friend should be in focus, but imediatly afterwards I decided that it would be better if the tree is in focus, and my friend slightly out.

What do you think? (external link)

My guess is that you intended your friend to be the focal point? If so, the tree dominates him. Trees framing a person are a good technique. They are close enough together to get both in focus . . .

Cool shot. I think your friend is slightly dominated by that tree there :)

Coolness

He still has one more move.

the compositions seems to be mostly tree with a little bit of your friend... especially considering the tree is in focus while the friend isn't... But, I like the idea of it. I would try to get a little closer to your subject and put the tree OOF next time..

Everyone said it about the tree, no need to repeat it here ;)

Also, your friend's face is partly covered. I would've liked to see his face completely.

Keep that shutter moving!
