Any suggestions or samples of babies this young. Will be shooting a set of twins around Christmas and want to do a good job. All shots will be in natural light - MAYBE a 580EX. I have done lots of older todlers and kids but no baby babies.

Please show off your favorite shots:)

I did some babies/twins at the client's home, with a black sheet up on the wall. I used my 20D, and 580Ex for fill, and used my Gary Fong Lightsphere.. created some very nice diffuse light. I set up next to a huge patio window which let in tons of natural light.

Support is generally the issue. Someone recommended using a beanbag chair to support them. I've never tried it but it sounds logical. Other than that they almost certainly have to be held. And the softer the light the better. You mention available light - good choice if you can control it.

thanks to both of you

Great shots. like the baby-in-hand

I'll remember the bean bag and try that. Its not like they can "hold that pose"

lay them on their sides rolled up, fitting together like a Ying and Yang sign.

put a empty frame in between them to make it look like a mirror image./. only that it isnt

Have parents hold them laying on their arms, so that the feet are on parents hands.. have them stand close together to get a shot of the underside of their feet ont he parents hands and blacken out in PS everything around it afterwards (draping something black around them will make it easier later)

put them on their bellies, right next to eachother, knees up underneath their bodies.. fetal position and shoot down on them
